The Alaska Branch Newsletter was voted best in the nation for category three. The editor admitted that he was gunning to be the best after a second place finish last year. Now, the job is to stay at number one. Or maybe it is time to share the fun with another editor.
The recognition from ones peers is very humbling. I do thank everyone for voting for me. There is a lot of work that goes into putting a newsletter together. More than the average Tom understands. I personally have always thought the best of the editors from each state and the national editor in particular, both the past and present. They are high energy people and now I understand them a little more.
Write and ask the editor how you can help and then follow through. I thought to myself one day that everyone that has become a Postmaster in the last 5 - 10 years and had to fill in a 991 knows how to write a short paragraph or they would not have gotten the Position of Postmaster. Help out your Editor and make the newsletters more entertaining and educational.
