3971 Leave Slip

Filling out a 3971 is very simple when you head off to the National Convention and you use the convention leave the Postal Service gives every Postmaster.  If the convention leave is not used in a year it is lost, no holding it over to the next year.  As well If the yearly Taxes are  itemized, expenses may be tax deductible.    See your tax adviser for all the details on what can be itemized.  Below is an example of a 3971, but please fill in the areas with personal information.
